Susan Kuznetzow

Kuznetzow, Susan Marcella (nee Kirda) passed after fighting a long illness.Surviving is her mother, Estelle Kirda; her life partner of 16 years, Stephen Parry;    sons, David (Jennifer)  and Robert (Lisa Levickis)  Kuznetzow;  grandchildren, Sophia, Suzi, Sara, Robin, and Kyra Kuznetzow, Jesse Jr. and Angel Martinez;  siblings, Nancy Ferro, Daniel and Leonard Vaznonis;  in addition to many loving friends. Susan attended Richards High School and earned her High School Equivalency Certificate in 1983; Associates Degree in General Studies from Harold Washington College in 1995; and went on to earn a Bachelor of Arts Degree in 1998 from National Lewis University. She was inducted as a member of the ALPHA DELTA OMEGA National Honor Society for Human Service Education.  She achieved her Master of Arts Degree in Gerontology from Roosevelt University in 2004.  Susan was an active member of Alcoholics Anonymous,  a friend of Bill W since June 10, 1983 and a proud member of the local Bridgeport group.  She helped the low income and elderly by working with the Bridgeport Volunteer Group to help energy assistance applications.  She also helped with holiday food baskets and volunteered at a local food pantry. She loved traveling with her partner Stephen, Lithuanian cooking, and spending time with her family and friends. Susan will be missed and fondly remembered as a giving and loving person by the many people whose lives she touched.  In lieu of flowers, donations can be made to your favorite charity or health organization.Visitation will be Saturday, January 25 from 4-8:00 pm at Pomierski Funeral Home , 1059 W. 32nd St., with services at 7 pm. www.pomierskifuneralhome.com (773)927-6424.
