Mery Elyn Baron-Pocius

Mery Elyn was the beloved daughter of the late Sam and Dorothy (nee Kotowske) Baron; the loving mother of Gala and Breton Pocius; former wife of their father, Allan Pocius; devoted grandmother of India and Zuhayrah; sister of Elizabeth, Scott, Richard, Rudie, and Laura; aunt and a friend to many.

Mery was a volunteer with the "Committed Knitters". who taught knitting and crochet to Cook County Jail inmates. She also volunteered at the Lincoln Park Zoo, The Field Museum, and Museum of Science and Industry.

Visitation will be Saturday, January 21, 2023 at Walter Pomierski & Son Funeral Home from 4-8:00 pm with a memorial service at 6:00 pm conducted by Pastor Corey Brooks.
