Donald "Don" R. Bereta
Donald “Don” R. Bereta, aged 74, passed away on May 9, 2024, in Chicago, IL. He was born on November 13, 1949, in Chicago. Donald is the son of the late Joseph Bereta and Charlotte Kolakowski of Poland. He was a beloved father, brother, significant other, friend, uncle, grandfather, and great grandfather. In his free time, he enjoyed spending time with his family, fishing along Bubbly Creek and Lake Michigan, riding his bike throughout the city, and being outdoors at different parks.
He is survived by his brother John Bereta, his three children Honey Zvirblis, Linda Bereta, and Michael Bereta, along with fourteen grandchildren and two great-grandchildren: Antoinette (Honey), Ashley, Eliseo, Titan, Samara, Tierney (Isaiah), Michael, Honey, Joseph, Ayla, Athena, Liana, Leah, and Josie.
Donald Bereta was preceded in death by his significant other, Patronella (nee Zvirblis) and siblings Sandy Bereta, Linda Bereta, Jimmy Bereta, and Joseph Bereta.
Family and friends will gather together Saturday May 18, 2024, at 2:30pm to celebrate his life at Park No 571, "Eleanor Boat House" 2828 Eleanor St, Chicago IL, 60608, which will end at Bubbly Creek at sunset.
May he rest in peace.
